The Educational Manager, Learning and Teaching Scholarship, will provide leadership and facilitation for the development and support of learning & teaching scholarship at Victoria University, including through the provision of credentialed qualifications, and providing support for teaching staff across HE, VE and FE in the development of projects, grants, publications and awards.

The successful candidate is required to make a significant contribution to teaching within the School in the discipline area of civil engineering primarily in Road and Transport Engineering, and Urban Planning and Development. In addition, he/she is required to carry out activities to develop his/her scholarship, research and/or expertise relevant to the profession of Engineering.

The overall purpose of the Manager, Space Management ensuring that the current usage of facilities is maximised and that future spatial requirements of the University are anticipated and strategically planned. The incumbent is required to ensure that the University operates consistently in line with University best practice in terms of space planning, allocation and management.

The overall purpose of the Safety Officer is to be responsible for organising, under the direction of the Head of School (HOS) or nominee, the administration of OHS processes within the School of Engineering and Science (SES) and Foundation Studies. The incumbent will also be responsible for the OHS induction and training of all new staff and students within the School and Foundation Studies.

The overall purpose of the position is to plan, direct and manage the University’s marketing consistent with the University’s overall strategic direction and in close cooperation with key stakeholders; to direct and manage domestic student recruitment that results in achieving student application targets; to develop and manage market research capability; to direct and manage publications and graphic services units.

The Technical Officer will assist laboratory managers within the Institute for Frontier Materials (IFM) in the area of technical support and compliance monitoring. This will include assisting in the day-to-day operation of biological and chemical laboratories infrastructure and services and the implementation and monitoring of a chemical register and management systems within the institute.

The appointee will form part of the research team within the Population Health Strategic Research Centre, which is one of the Strategic Research Centre in the Faculty of Health. Staff within the Population Health Strategic Research Centre report to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Health) through the Head of the Population Health Strategic Research Centre.

The Research Fellow will initiate and conduct research in the area of molecular malaria pathogenesis and host cell interaction using a wide range of techniques including data base mining, molecular biology, cell culture, cell biology, protein expression and animal studies.

The position provides high-quality and responsive support services for research activities across all Campuses. The position designs, develops, and maintains data systems and web applications to support Deakin Research (Deakin Research).
