Operating under general direction of the Manager, UC AccessAbility, the Disability Advisor is responsible for providing support programs and services for students registered with the AccessAbility Office at the University of Canberra.

The appointee will be expected to make significant contributions to the teaching and research programmes of the Faculty in the discipline of Mathematics and Statistics. The appointee is also expected to coordinate and supervise postgraduate students, and to teach undergraduate units and play a major role in related professional activities.

The role of the Business Analyst is to support projects that transform University systems and processes towards more efficient and effective solutions. Key elements to the role are analysis, design and implementation support for processes and solutions across the University. Business Analysts perform a leadership role in client engagement, IT service delivery and internal consulting & advice.

The successful applicant will be offered a fixed term contract for up to two and a half years on a fractional basis, to replace a continuing staff member who has been assigned other duties for that period.

The appointee will be expected to make a significant contribution to the Faculty’s teaching programmes, especially within the discipline of Accounting, Banking and Finance. The appointee will also be expected to develop a research profile which fits within the strategic direction of the Faculty’s research, including bidding for external research income, publishing in leading journals and supervising higher degree by research (HDR) students where appropriate.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical support, analytical, design and development expertise relating to Data Warehouse Services and Business Intelligence (BI) administration, including production support, data modelling, Extract Transform and Load (ETL) development and quality assurance.

The duties will include developing, validating and applying dynamic population models and simulation; engaging in knowledge transfer activities that impact on policy and practice; providing statistical support to researchers and PhD students in the Centre, contributing to writing grant proposals, publication in peer reviewed journals and otherwise disseminating research findings.

We are seeking a self-motivated, energetic individual to manage the centre, working closely with the Faculty of Applied Science and the University of Canberra College to promote the services of the centre to existing students, prospective students and their parents, and the broader community.
