The Strategic Marketing Manager will coordinate and drive a wide-ranging program of communications, marketing and public relations activities to promote the SMART Infrastructure Facility and its research outcomes. The role encompasses SMART website content management, publication development, coordination of events, workshops and conferences and media relations.

The successful applicant will work with a team of academics in developing an innovative and flexible curriculum, conducting research and fostering partnerships with relevant industry, professional, and community organizations. In addition, the appointee will teach into the visual arts program and participate in the development of courses and units.

The successful applicant will contribute to the core teaching in social work and social welfare, with a particular focus on community development in the context of emergency management. The applicant may be expected to act as Course Coordinator for the Master of Community Development (Emergency Management), as well as undertake Unit Assessor responsibilities, which may involve the writing of new units.

The successful applicant will contribute to the core teaching of the Bachelor of Social Science, with a focus on politics, governance and social policy. The applicant will be expected to act as a Unit Assessor, and may be required to be involved in the writing of new units. The successful applicant will have a developing program of research and scholarship, and a demonstrable ability to contribute to the growth of research activity within the School.

The Project Officers will work directly with SCU College and School-based staff to provide hands-on support for the implementation of new programs within the College. The position will work closely with the Teaching and Curriculum academic staff in the Division and with staff in the Education Technology Services as required.

The successful applicant may be required to take on the role of Course Coordinator of the Associate Degree in Creative Writing and will lead a team of academics in developing an innovative and flexible curriculum, conducting research and fostering partnerships with relevant industry groups and professional organisations. The successful applicant will contribute to the core teaching in creative writing.

The position will undertake considerable liaison with a range of staff within the University for example, Directors of Teaching and Learning, academic staff, Students Services staff, Technology Services, Planning, Quality and Review staff, users of the information systems, and Schools.
