The Department of Mechanical Engineering is seeking a postdoctoral Research Fellow in experimental aerodynamics, to carry out research on passive flow control of turbulent boundary layers. This is an ARC funded project to study the effect of highly ordered surface topologies on the turbulent boundary layer structure.

This position will contribute to the teaching across the School of Film and Television and is responsible for teaching video and/or film production (both craft and conceptual skills).

The HRO will become a local expert in Themis HR and other HR systems and will act as the first point of contact for payroll queries. The HRO works under the day to day direction and guidance of the HR Consultant to ensure a high level of service is provided in accordance with service level agreements established within Departments and Units within the Faculty.

The successful candidate will work with Faculty colleagues to refine and deliver academic programs, enhancing the interdisciplinary design culture of the Faculty. They will teach at both graduate and undergraduate levels, including into the Bachelor of Environments, and will participate in the supervision of research higher degree students.

This position will involve managing progress reporting for the Faculty's existing accreditation(s); gathering and processing of all relevant accreditation information; providing support for accreditation assurance activities related to teaching and learning; and assisting in the implementation of accreditation processes as they relate to teaching and learning in the faculty, including working with academic departments on monitoring assurance of learning outcomes.

This position has been developed within the framework of the University of Melbourne Student Services Model, which aims to ensure that students receive consistent, seamless and equitable services through Student Centres that promote connectedness to their course.

As the project is a Telehealth project involving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders the project manager must be able to work with the local communities of the participating sites and to be respectful of their culture and unique requirements. This position involves regular regional and interstate travel.

The position (located at the Werribee Clinical Centre) is responsible for managing the administrative processes relating to the Faculty's academic and clinical teaching programs in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine 3 (DVM3) and DVM4 curriculum and student administration generally, and for co-ordinating some administrative and organisational services at that campus.

You may be involved in teaching in the Department in the area of biomechanics through lecturing, tutoring, marking and lab demonstration. You will also be expected to help manage the various laboratories under the supervision of the Chief Investigator and the Technical Manager of the Department.
