Operating under general direction of the GRO Director, the primary purpose of this position is to organise and manage the administration of the GRO, including finances, orders and invoicing, record keeping, staff travel, seminar bookings and registrations, and administrative assistance to the Director GRO.

The role will lead and progress the ongoing development and implementation of the Business Intelligence Services function and associated activities, including data quality and service delivery activities.

The successful applicant will possess good communication skills, be flexible, show initiative, be customer focussed and ensure the highest standard of service delivery. Suitable applications from this process may also be used to create a list for potential future appointments.

The successful applicant will have experience with and expertise in laboratory biotechnology and/or pathology laboratory techniques and a broad technical knowledge in at least one area of science.

The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting laboratories, field class operations and the Science Research Centre and will be a member of the Faculty’s broader technical support team.

The successful applicants will have a vision for aged care service development and lead innovation in education for pre-service health students as well as staff in the facility. The role will provide opportunities to be involved in research into work-based learning.

The successful applicant will provide research leadership of one of the three Institute research programs. The Institute engages in research, evaluation and service design relating to governance practice, policy and interventions. Research undertaken is strongly connected to applied work in Australian or international governance for a broad range of stakeholders including policy-makers, politicians, service managers and front-line staff.

The successful applicant will specialise in Network Engineering and teach and research in the Discipline of Software Engineering. A demonstrated commitment to good quality teaching and research in the area of software engineering and at least one of network computing, database programming, business intelligence, security, or intelligent systems and their applications.

The Faculty is interdisciplinary in nature. It teaches and researches across a wide variety of disciplines including pure and applied mathematics, mathematical physics, statistics, information technology, software engineering and information systems.
