Operating under general direction of the GRO Director, the primary purpose of this position is to organise and manage the administration of the GRO, including finances, orders and invoicing, record keeping, staff travel, seminar bookings and registrations, and administrative assistance to the Director GRO.

The position is available on a casual basis to teach the basics of academic writing to mature age students who have had limited exposure to formal essay and report writing. This component of the course is delivered as part of the Unit BAA506 Learning Through Practice A. Teaching and learning resources will be supplied by the Unit Co-ordinator.

The appointee will be expected to provide excellent customer service in liaising with Police, emergency services, staff, students and visitors to the university.

The appointee will provide this support through the construction, installation and testing of equipment, test specimens and components, participating in research and consultancy projects for external clients and preparing for undergraduate laboratory practical groups as required.

The Philanthropic Support Officer is a leadership position within the Office of Development and External Relations that liaises closely with different stakeholders across the University both academic and non-academic.

Applications are invited from accomplished Historians to undertake research and the writing of a Corporate History of Bond University for publication of a book to be launched at the time of the institution’s 25th Anniversary in early 2014.

The successful applicant will have experience with and expertise in laboratory biotechnology and/or pathology laboratory techniques and a broad technical knowledge in at least one area of science.

The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting laboratories, field class operations and the Science Research Centre and will be a member of the Faculty’s broader technical support team.

The Technical Officer will provide high-level technical advice to the IMOS Director, and is responsible for the performance of tasks of a marine engineering and technical advice nature for the national IMOS Project.

The casual register enables the many Divisions and Faculties of the University to source casual staff with generic and specialised administrative skills for both full time and part time hours.
