IM4DC will deliver a range of practical advisory, education and training services to developing country governments in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Pacific across a range of mining issues relevant to the development context.

The Associate Director is responsible for supporting the Director in providing strategic, operational leadership and management of QUT International College Programs, Student Support Services and the IELTS Centre. The Associate Director ensures that the unit maximises the number of students progressing to university award programs and seeks to achieve the University mission and goals.

The successful applicant will hold a minimum of a Master of Psychology, preferably Clinical or Forensic, have full unconditional registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Association Psychology Board, and hold or be eligible for membership with an APS specialist College.

The successful candidate for this role will have a high level of administrative and management skills including the capacity to provide academic and managerial leadership of a small team, capacity to manage budgets, staff performance and a proven capacity to deliver effective strategic direction and leadership.

The Director will lead the research activities of the Institute, will build capacity through strengthening existing groups and establishing new ones in relevant fields of medical and health research, and will foster the Institute’s reputation and standing in the context of the University, Tasmania, nationally and internationally.

The Director NWGIC is responsible for leading a team of researchers in the area of oenology and viticulture. The appointee will both lead the NWGIC and supervise and manage CSU’s contribution to NWGIC within the context of the 2011-2015 CSU Strategic Plan.

The appointee will be eligible for appointment as Chair of the Rural Health Academic Centre (RHAC), which will become vacant on 1/1/2012.The RHAC incorporates the Rural Clinical School program and the University Department of Rural Health (UDRH) program, also funded by the Australian Government. The UDRH is engaged in health workforce development, research into rural health, Indigenous health, primary mental health care, sexual health and health informatics.
